Ingredients:
- 8 cups milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 6 eggs
- 180 gm cream
- 2 tbsp almonds blanched and slivered
- 2 tbsp slivered pistachios
- Half tsp crushed green cardamom seeds
- 1/4 grated nutmeg
- Half tsp vanilla essence
Method:
- Preheat oven to 150 degree C for 10 minutes
- Boil milk and sugar and simmer till the mixture reduces to half the original quality. Let cool.
- Beat eggs till frothy. Add cream and pour into cooled milk.
- Stir in almonds, pistachio, green cardamom, nutmeg and vanilla essence. Grease on 8" X 8" baking dish and pour in custard.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or till custard is firm (not too hard) and golden brown.
- Cool and refrigerate.
- Cut into square and serve either at room temperature or chilled.
Tip: Don't put the custard in the fridge when it's too hot. It's easier to cut pieces when the custard is chilled.
